Almost all my favorite Italian dishes start this way: two onions and a head of garlic. Anytime they're out on the counter, we know we're in for something really good!

Artichokes are by far my favorite vegetable-- I even have a couch covered in artichoke fabric! Pretty tough to paint though. I think there must be at least five coats of paint on this one.
